PROJECT OVERVIEW:
MO Project: Buildouts to Reach More Than 1,150 Homes and Small Businesses in
Jefferson, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties.
Similar projects are assigned to Koscom in other states including KS, CA, MN,
NY and FL.
The buildout is part of Spectrum’s approximately $5 billion investment in unserved
rural areas, which includes $1.2 billion won in the Federal Communications
Commission’s (FCC) Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) auction. The company’s
RDOF expansion will provide broadband access to approximately 1 million customer
locations as estimated by the FCC across 24 states in the coming years.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Installed 800 miles of fiber optic cable.
• Implemented underground solutions utilizing specialized directional drilling and trenching equipment, drilling approximately 150,000 feet of communications
pathways.
• Completed within a timeline of 18 months.
• Engaged a diverse team of 30 technicians and specialists to execute the buildout
efficiently.
